I am taking photos of the graded projects and rubrics
It’s okay so far. I actually kind of like where this student was going with the poster artwork.
Here is the problem. The student decided to either not complete some of the prompts and/or give halfway answers to the prompts.
This is not acceptable and will result in students not making a passing grade on assignments and projects.
The problem with this one should be apparent. I will let you figure it out first. My comments will be at the end of this student sample.
Pay special attention to what the “student” is writing.
Are you getting what the problem is with this work?
What do you think? In addition to not even answering the questions, this student just copied down
(plagiarism) some commentary from a website and tried to turn it in as her own. Not a wise move, and I have talked with the student about this problem. :(
Quality is starting to improve.
I like how this student made a rough draft.
Student spent time making drafts - Nice!
Now we are moving into the 90s and above. These are some, not all, of the top projects.
Is Taylor a normal guy at the beginning of the movie?
Did he change into a leader?
Fear of war or war happened and turned the world upside down?
What are some of the other themes?
Student did not pay attention to this detail. Everything else is great, however.
This is one of my favorite student observations.
Official film rating needed. In class, we may talk abut you rate a film using stars or tomatoes of whatever scale, but the poster needs the official film rating: G, PG, PG-13, etc.
This is a thoughtful understanding of one of the main themes in the movie and how it relates to what was happening in society when the film was made.
This is one of a few projects that made a 100.
The Forbidden Zone!
I like how this student uses a quote from the movie to support his point.
