Here are five student samples from the first writing assignment which was to write a character backstory to one of the characters from the Planet of the Apes. I have some brief comments on the right hand side.

After the draft, the student corrects and rewrites for the final copy. Yes, I have already asked that this student type. For two reasons, it will be easier to revise and edit and easier to read. Come on, I am old. My eyes don’t work as well as they used to:)
