Film Logo Design Contest
Hello students:
Do you like to draw? Do you like contests? Are you interested in the Fulmore Middle School Falcon Films Logo Design Contest? Yes, that is a long name for a contest.
Some background - starting this year, film classes at Fulmore Middle School will offer more exciting film-related projects, activities, and field trips for Fulmore MS students. The following classes are part of the Film Strand: Video Production, Film as Literature, Visual Media, & Graphic Novels (which includes animation).
As part of the new emphasis on Film Studies at Fulmore, we are asking student artists to create and design a logo. This logo will be used for many Film-related displays, including, but not limited to websites, t-shirts and posters for the Fulmore Student Film Festival, bulletin boards, and business cards.
Please carefully read the criteria listed below, and then start working on your logo. You do not have to be in a film class to enter the contest. The contest is open to all Fulmore Middle School students.
Falcon Films Logo Design Contest Criteria

1. Your logo should incorporate the following themes: Fulmore MS, Falcons, Film, and Austin.
2. Your may submit a design made primarily using old school methods such as paper, pencils, pens, markers, etc. Please submit your design on a standard 8.5 x 11 piece of typing paper.
3. You may also submit a design made using new school methods that operate in the digital realm: with software such as Paint, Picnik, or other online image creators and manipulators. Please submit your design electronically to one of the emails listed below.
4. No more than 5 different colors, including shading of the same color.
5. Your design must be original & incorporate the 4 themes as listed in point #1 above. Keep in mind that your design may be reproduced for both a t-shirt or a poster so it should provide enough detail for printing a large poster or banner, but not be so complicated that when produced as a small image (like a sticker, magnet or t-shirt) that you are unable to see the details.
6. The deadline for submission is Monday, Sept. 27 at 4:00pm.
7. There will be prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place entries.

9. All drawings and digital entries will become the property of Fulmore Middle School and the Fulmore Film Studies program, giving them the rights to reproduce the artwork for marketing and promotion of the Fulmore Film program and the Fulmore Student Film Festival. Submitting an entry to the design contest implies that you understand that if you have a winning entry, your work will be reproduced by Fulmore.
