Goals:

Hello Students:
First, I was thinking about you all after reading an article last night. The article relates to something we have read. It told the story of a tragic and real-life Trolley Problem.
Before you do anything else in this class today, please read the article here: http://bit.ly/dfMlr2
After you read the article, take a 2 minute discussion break with your neighbor regarding the article. I will call on some of you to share your perspective about the event discussed in the article.
Second, after you are done reading, you may work on any project for my class. If you are striving to get an A or B, then visit the grading grids here (Grading Grids) to remind yourself exactly what is needed for an A or B.

Hello Students! For today, you are going to be making animations using a “nifty” Online animation program. While you are experimenting with it today, please practice making animated stories that deal with the Fulmore theme of Identity.

Video Production - 4th Period Students
Your main goals today include:
1.learn some of the tricks that advertisers use to
persuade you/get you to buy things
and
2.learn some tips for being a smart buyer.

1. http://pbskids.org/dontbuyit/ - You should be able to tell me 3 advertising tricks, and what is in an ad, and how to be a smart shopper.
2. https://www.adbusters.org/ - Look closely at the spoof ads. Pick one and be able to explain it to me. What makes it work as a spoof ad?
3. http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/ccmphtml/colahome.html - Look at some of the old advertisements, and make 7 observations about how Coca Cola advertised their product.
