Article Annotation #1: For Once , Blame The Student

Overview:


During the week of 01.25.2010, I asked students to read an article about student responsibility and then annotate the article.  To help them, I gave each student a copy of annotation tips, talked to the classes about tips for annotation, and have available on this website more information about annotating.

The grading for this assignment is as follows:


  1. If a student just answered the questions (with no actual annotations) he or she received a 50.


  1. If a student answered the questions and only underlined for the annotations, he or she will receive a 70.


  1. If a student answered the questions and displayed a variety of thoughtful annotations, he or she will receive a 100.
